1 Is Losang a Hongkong company?
Losang is registered in Hong Kong with manufacturing facilities located in Shenzhen City of China Mainland.
2 How many years has Losang been in business?
We are on our 10th year; we started in August of Year 2003.
3 What is the core business of Losang?
Mold Making and Injection Molding are the core businesses of Losang.
4 Does Losang accept OEM job?
Yes, we do accept OEM, as long as they are within our capabilities.
5 How many percent of your molds are built for export?
At present, Above 85% of our molds are built for exporting to Germany, France, Italy, Holland, US, Brazil, Australia, Japan, etc.
6 Which countries do you export your molds to the most?
Majority of our export tools are export to Europe and North America.
7 What are the main equipments that you have in your tool shop?
We have 11 CNC machines, 14 EDM machines, 3 Wire-Cut machines, 1 Gun Drilling machine, 1 160T Die Spotting machine, lathe, milling and polishing equipments in our tool shop.
8 What are the main equipments that you have in your injection molding shop?
We have 25 units of injection machines with sizes ranging from 200 tons to 700 tons, automatic transfering system for molding parts, 2.5M CMM for 3D dimension check, etc.
9 How many tools can you build in a month?
Around 60 tools for average sized tools. It also depends on the complexity of the tool.
10 What is the biggest size of tool that you have ever made?
At present, the biggest tool we made has the mold size: 800mm x 2000mm x 900mm - this is a tool for a car bumper
11 What is the usual lead time for a tool?
Depending on the complexity and size of the tool, but for standard size and standard design tool, the lead time is 30 to 35 days. Please note that lead time starts from the time the customer confirms the mold layout up to T1 date.
12 What are your payment terms?
Normally, our payment terms as follows: 40% Deposit when P.O.; 40% after T1; balance 20% (Upon Final Sample Approved before shippment).
13 Where do you usually buy your mold base?
Unless customer specifies otherwise, we usually purchase from LKM, the largest mold base manufacturer in China.
14 How many engineers do you have?
We have 40 Engineers at present (20 designers, 10 engineers, 10 CNC programmers).
15 What information do we need to provide in order to get a tool quotation?
We need at least: 2D or 3D file of the part, mold requirement (such as number of cavities, required mold material if any, required gating system if any), and plastic material to be used.

Additional information (but are not necessarily needed) would be if mold is to be used for export or is it to stay in China for production, together with the quantity demand.
16 Will you sign an NDA form?
Yes, we sign NDA form upon review of said form by Losang authorized personnel.
17 How is our patent or design protected?
We are a Hong Kong company and we strictly follow the rules in Hong Kong law and regulations.
18 Can you provide client references?
Yes, we can provide references for customers as required.
19 How many people do you have?
Losang currently employs 218 staff.
20 What is your sales revenue last year?
Sales revenue for year 2011 was at US$ 19Million (US$ 11.6Million for tooling, US$ 7.7Million for molding).
21 What certification do you have?
Losang is ISO9001:2000 certified company.
22 What are the types of molds you can build?
Losang can build a wide range of mold types, including: multi-cavity or high cavitation tool, multi-insert, insert molding, mold with hot runner system, over-molding, tools with multi-slides, unscrewing molds, and large tools for: car bumper, instrument panel, containers, chairs, etc.
23 Can you build hot runner tools?
Yes, Losang can build hot runner tools.
24 What hot runner brand do you use?
YUDO, Synventive, Moldmasters hot runner system are used most of the time.
25 Does the hot runner have international warranty?
Yes, YUDO, Synventive, Moldmasters hot runner have international warranty.
26 How do you usually ship the tools for export?
Usually Losang tools are shipped by sea, since air freight costs are more expensive. However, this would depend on customer’s lead time requirements. If they need the tool to be in their dock sooner, we would be instructed to do air shipment.
27 Can you also provide reference shipping costs to the customer?
Yes, we have ready forwarder who can quote shipping costs, both for air and sea shipments.
28 Can you recommend shipping company to us?
Yes, we can recommend if customer required.
29 For manufacturing of injection molded parts, do you have MOQ?
No, there is no MOQ, but it is one of the industry standards that when you order the lower quantity, the per piece cost is higher.
30 During T1 for tools, do you send sample for confirmation?
Yes, normally we ship 5-15 pieces of samples for free.
31 Who pays for the freight cost of the samples being shipped to the customer?
The customer pays for the shipping cost, usually customer’s account number with FEDEX, UPS or DHL is given to us, so we can charge the courier cost to the customer.
32 How do we send you our payments?
Please pay us through wire transfer, we will provide you with our bank information in Hong Kong.
33 Where can I get more info about your company?

34 How long does it take to receive a quotation?
Quotation lead times vary depending on the product complexity. Normally, we can submit quotation within 1~3 days.
35 What software package do you use?
Losang uses UG, PRO-E, Solid Works, Catia, etc.
36 How long does it take to ship a tool from China to Europe and US?
For sea freight, normally it takes around 30~35 days, including local land transportation. For air freight, normally take around 3-5 days.
37 How do we send large design files?
